The JHTET application form has started on 21 April 2026, and candidates can apply until 02 June 2026 (Extended). - For General/ BC/ EWS Candidates (Paper I or Paper II Only): ₹ 1300/-
- For General/ BC/ EWS Candidates (For Both Paper): ₹ 1500/-
- For SC/ ST Candidates (Paper I or Paper II Only): ₹ 700/-
- For SC/ ST Candidates (For Both Paper): ₹ 800/-

Eligibility Criteria
Primary Level (Class 1-5)
- Candidates must have 10+2 Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C. / D.El.Ed.).
- OR 10+2 with at least 45% marks with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE 2002 norms).
- OR 10+2 with at least 50% marks and be appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- OR 10+2 with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C. / D.El.Ed.) are also eligible.
Junior Level (Class 6-8)
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C. / D.El.Ed.).
- OR a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. / L.T. / Shiksha Shastri (Regular).
- OR a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 45% marks and B.Ed. (as per NCTE norms).
- OR 10+2 Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and are appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), or a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed program.
- OR a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special Education).
- OR those having a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks along with a 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. course.
